Back to School OOTD & Updates

Hey everyone! This is about two weeks late, whoops lol. As you may know, I started school a couple weeks ago, and I'm finally a senior! Yay. The past weeks have been completely busy and hectic with AP classes, homework, and running a dance club plus practices after school, so I have not made much time to blog, or even take pictures! Ah, so sorry about that by the way, but I promise, once I get back into a more manageable schedule, I will be posting a lot more and hopefully more YouTube videos as well! Anyways, here was my OOTD for the second day of school. (I had to wear my link crew shirt on the first day).

---

I found the romper down at The Grove and instantly fell in love! First of all, rompers are a big trend for the summer (and I'm feelin' fall also), and the color scheme is super girly and flirty, I love it. Pastels always add a girly vibe to any look, and to match the color scheme I decided to pair the romper with a pastel peach/coral necklace and earrings. For shoes, I didn't want to wear heels so early in the week, so I opted for these small wedges, perfect height, but still comfortable and still look glam at the same time. I threw on a belt to of course, tie the whole look together, and add a bit more flair.

---

Can we just talk about how cuuuuute this romper is?!?!

Summer OOTD | LA

Hey everyone, it's Friday, so you know what that means! Fashion Friday, oh yeah! Here's another Summer OOTD! Two totally different looks. One being a street style chic, and the other a boho chic. Both totally perfect for shopping at the Grove or wandering around Laguna Beach. ;)

---

I loved how this outfit was different - edgy, casual, but still street chic. I'm not quite a big fan of crop tops (on me by the way) but I figured this top would go great with these super comfy and adorable high wasted shorts, yes shorts. I think the trouser shorts (I believe that's what they're called) are definitely cute, and can give a posh look, but I decided to make it more laid back for casual, yet not too casual LA shopping. The gold leaf necklace also adds a little edge contrasting with the detailing of the top.

I paired my outfit with these coral sandals to give a nice pop of color to the monotone colors.

I am in love with the detailing of this crop top!
The gold necklace really compliments the top.

Adding Denim to any outfit dresses it down.
Tying it around your hips gives a more edgy look,
and can even slim down your waist.
It's also good to throw on when it gets chilly.
I think it adds more flare to the outfit

For this look, it's all about loose clothing, bold prints, and summer colors.
I kept the top simple, (but the details on the side add a little flair as well as the scallop hem at the bottom of the shirt) since I wanted my shorts to be the main focus with their beautiful 'kaleidoscope' print, which is also a beautiful array of orange shades. Paired with some caramel colored accessories and we're ready for a walk by the beach! :D

Light fabric shorts are perfect for the beach!
Both comfortable and of course cute.
Floppy hats are one of my fave accessories to throw on!
Not only are they adorable,
but they protect your face from harmful rays of the sun
and maybe avoid getting sun-burnt
all whilst keeping you look fabulous.

Foodie Adventures | LA

Hey guys, today's wonderful post is all about food, glorious food!
Here I'll be listing all of the LA area hotspots / and of course the Instagram worthy places,
and my opinion of the food.

---

Day 1, The Grove
Lunch
First Stop: Umami Burger

This was my first time going to Umami, and let me tell you about their unique, delicious food.
Let's start with the fries. Either eaten plain, dipped, or topped with their House Truffle Cheese, the flavor truly won't disappoint. Next the dipping sauces. Four different types are offered: Garlic Aoli, Jalepeno Ranch, El Diablo, and Ketchup which is mixed with Soy Sauce and Truffle Oil I believe. Regardless, it added a nice different taste to good ol' regular ketchup.

Strange as it is, I did order a salad at a famous burger place haha. (Which was pretty good), but I did split a burger with my little sis.

Left to Right & Top to Bottom:
Truffle Burger, Cali Burger, Truffle Cheese, Dipping Sauces, Umami Caesar, and another Cali Burger
Cali Burger (was split between my sister and I)
One of the top items on the menu, we just had to order it.
In the burger is butter lettuce, roasted tomato, caramelized onions, house spread, and House Cali cheese.
The burgers are a good size - fairly small, but just the right amount.
The burgers are served medium rare unless asked upon request.
---

After some walking around and shopping, we had to stop by Sprinkles
Dessert
We ordered the Salted Caramel & S'mores Cupcakes

---

Day Two, Irvine Spectrum

We definitely had to try out Cream, which had just opened up not too long ago.
Totally will satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth, or whoever wants that Instagram worthy food post.
Great variety of cookies, ice cream, and toppings to choose from.

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich, Peanut Butter Cookies with Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream
---

Packing House, Packing District
Dinner

Japanese Ramen, One Spicy and Non-Spicy, and some sushi

Indian Food Platter with Naan, Chicken Masala, Rice, and a cooling Salad

PopBar | Packing House
Dessert

What a great way to cool off for the summer, and a great way to end the night!
There are many delicious flavors to choose from, and a great variety of poppings - Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, and Mint Dark Chocolate and toppings such as Almonds, Hazelnut, Pistachios, Chocolate Sprinkles, Coconut, Caramel Corn, and Crushed Waffle Cone.

Strawberry Dipped in Milk Chocolate topped with almonds and drizzled in White Chocolate
Left to Right (second PopBar shown above):
Mixed Berry dipped in Milk Chocolate, drizzled in White Chocolate, covered in Chocolate Sprinkles,
Pistachio, dipped in Milk Chocolate, covered in Pistachios, drizzled with White Chocolate, and
Mango, dipped in Milk Chocolate, covered in almonds, and drizzled with White Chocolate
I totally fell in love with this place. Great environment to be around filled with good music, food, and company. Total Hot Spot, and has a good variety of little restaurants. It really is a Packed House, and finding parking may be a pain, but it is worth it to try out new foods, that you won't regret trying out.

Summer, Update, YouTube?

Hey everyone! Yes, I'm alive lol, and I know it's been about two months since my last post, but I wanted to update you guys and say that I am back, hoping to post more frequently and consistently like before. Let me recap my summer vacation so far.

---

So, my summer has been a typical teenage vacation by staying up late, binge watching different TV series. (2 1/2 seasons of Bates Motel in less than 3 weeks), sleeping in, and going on social media.
But, let me add in that a couple of weeks ago, I got the chance to be a part of a new indie film "Jilted" coming out in 2016. It was a great opportunity and experience which I am thankful for.

---

Now as some of you may know, I recently took a trip to Lake Tahoe with my family, and decided to share some pictures and even a YouTube, yes, a YouTube video with you all on the different looks I wore on the trip! Yay! I finally made my first YouTube video, and worked hard to make it aesthetically pleasing. Now, giving that this is my first YouTube video, the video quality and lighting may not be the best, but hey, everyone has gotta start somewhere, right? I've been wanting to start up a YoutTube channel for the longest time, but never had the right equipment, but I decided that why not just make one for fun despite not haivng all the proper tools. I do hope you guys watch and enjoy it as you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/ByNYP0RT-MU

Grilled Chicken Gyros & a side of Caesar salad at the
Artemis Mediterranean Grill was delicious!
And of course gotta squeeze in some sweets by stopping by for some
Fruit Smoothies,  Honey Brick Toast, and Macarons!

Finals & Fashion Friday

Hey everyone! Long time no post right? Well all the stress, studying and late nights for AP testing and Finals is finally over, and school is finally out which means more posts and maybe starting a Youtube Channel!! Yay! My youtube channel will mostly feature lookbooks, occasional DIYs, I'm not completely sure, but it hopefully should be a fashion/lifestyle channel. (Everything is still in the working, but I've been thinking about making one for the longest time.)

Anyways, back to the post. Yes, finally school is out, and I survived another year of high school. I finished my junior year, and I finally get to say I'm a senior! The (supposedly) best year of high school! Ahh, I'm so excited, nervous, happy, sad - every emotion - just excited to being closer to the end of high school and moving on into the real world and pursuing my dreams.

---

Back to the OOTD. I wanted to look chic (of course) but be comfortable at the same time by adding a casual flare by throwing on this denim shirt. The dress itself is simple, but beautiful! I love the color, and the floral detailing at the top. It's very girly and flirty. I added a braided belt to add more texture to the plain dress and to prevent me from looking too boxy. This outfit is perfect for lunch with the girls, a casual date, school, anywhere! Just remember to work it!
